UX/UI and programming of the K2 DocuApp for installers
In the course of the “digital transformation”, its opportunities, possibilities, but also challenges, K2 Systems approached us in search of a suitable IT solution partner.
In addition to an existing app, K2 Systems already has two of its own products in use. One of these is the K2 Base software, which is used by installers as a planning tool and enables easy selection of modules and the associated mounting parts. Our task was to develop an app for installers that can be used in addition to the K2 Base software.
With the help of the app, it should be possible for the installer to record relevant data relating to the PV system directly on site, such as installation and circuit diagrams, data sheets, etc. All data can be shared and edited with the people involved in the project. This means that all those involved have everything in view at all times, as all documents relating to the project are stored in a structured and well-organised in the app.
The app therefore acts as a digital tool that can facilitate, speed up and automate project documentation for installers on construction sites.
Project management and document upload
PV projects can be imported from Base or you can create new ones. All important data on the customer, the project and the installation are clearly displayed and are quickly accessible for the installer.
Interface to K2 Base
The app synchronises with the K2 Base planning software and loads documents such as structural analysis reports, assembly plans or data sheets. In addition to synchronisation with Base, it is also possible to upload further documents.
It is possible to add employees to projects and assign them authorisations and roles. This allows them to work together on customer projects and exchange information without any problems.
For smooth communication and project coordination, contact lists of project participants with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses can be created. The contacts can be newly added or imported from the address book.
The checklist enables the user to create, process and check off tasks. Thanks to the clear presentation, the user can immediately see which tasks have been completed and which are still open.
By having the end customer sign the app, the acceptance can take place directly on site. The entire documentation can be created as a PDF and sent to the end customer.
